Can I go back to Columbus now?

Thoughts after three

Impressive Flyers so far: Vincent Lecavalier Brayden Schenn Mark Streit Zac Rinaldo Steve Mason (minus one goal) I keep thinking to myself things like, “Why is Nicklas Grossmann carrying the puck in the offensive zone?”, “Why is Grossmann shooting the puck?”, “Why is Grossmann still on the ice?” That’s not a criticism of Grossmann so much as it is an acknowledgment that perhaps he’s being misused and overused. It says more about the players on the ice with him and the coach, really. During the first 40 minutes of the season, the Flyers looked like a team that could dominate …

Frequent Flyer Miles: Boucher leaves for Switzerland, Carcillo to Los Angeles, Gawryletz joins Hungarian club

Another week in the offseason just means more former Philadelphia Flyers on the move, as 10 former players or draft picks changed franchises or leagues. The most notable former Flyer to switch clubs may have been the return of one of the Orange and Black’s most popular goaltenders returning to the team’s front office, but I’ll digress. Unfortunately, nobody was close enough to …

But when I boarded the plane to go to Philadelphia on Valentine’s Day, I grabbed my Kindle and pulled it up because I was determined to finish it. So, here we go: The Good, The Bad, & The …
