The Philadelphia Flyers may be struggling to produce points at the moment, but the franchise’s top prospect isn’t. Scott Laughton is currently averaging two points per game in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals, as he has been looking like a man amongst boys. After he scored a goal against the Kingston Frontenacs on Saturday, Laughton provided a five-point performance on Sunday in a 5-3 win for the Generals over the Peterborough Petes. Future Flyers Report: Laughton and Leier lead the way in offensive production

The pair of Scott Laughton and Taylor Leier have played the most games out of any of the Philadelphia Flyers’ prospects, and they are averaging over a point per game in the process. Ironically for both players, neither of them lead their junior teams in scoring. Laughton has 11 goals and eight helpers in the Oshawa Generals’ first 11 games this season. The forward sits third on the Generals in scoring, as the pair of Michael Dal Colle, who has 23 points, and Josh Sterk, who has 20 points, sit in front of him. Flyers Sign Samuel Morin to Entry-Level Contract

The Flyers announced Tuesday afternoon that they have signed 2013 first-round pick Samuel Morin to his entry level contract. Initially thought to return to Rimouski at some point during training camp, his signing means the team has been impressed so far and plan to keep him in camp at least a little longer than expected.
