Mistakes cost Flyers in Carolina, fall 2-1

For the second time in two days, the Philadelphia Flyers were outworked by the opposition, as the Carolina Hurricanes grabbed a 2-1 victory at home. It was a Radek Dvorak goal in the second period that proved to be a game-winner, as Jay Harrison also scored for the hosts. Bernier steals game for Leafs, Flyers can’t capitalize early in 3-1 loss

The Philadelphia Flyers dropped their season opener tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, as the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs came in and stole a 3-1 victory. Phil Kessel also scored for the Maple Leafs in the win. With a pass from Joffrey Lupul behind Steve Mason’s cage, the former Chicago …

They acknowledged after the game that Voracek’s injury is only minor, but if a few forwards were to go down does that type of lineup give you confidence? The offense hasn’t exactly gotten …

Five Questions 2013 Preseason: Which Phantoms Will Make the Flyers Out of Training Camp?

Flyers Faithful is pleased to have Dave Isaac from the Courier-Post, Matt Brigidi from SB Nation, David Strehle from The Fourth Period, Anthony Mingioni from Center Ice Philly, and our very own Steve Jacot participate in the current iteration of Five Questions. This is the second of a five-part series focusing on the 2013-2014 preseason. (Please keep in mind that these questions were answered last week, so some of our questions may already have been resolved by the team.) Dave Isaac: The Flyers won’t have many open roster spots because of all the contracts they’ve given out. It would take a lot to uproot a player that …
