Per a release from the American Hockey League… “The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, announced that they will finish their suspended game from Sunday, Feb. 17 against the Adirondack Phantoms on Friday, Mar. 1 at 6:05 p.m. prior to that evening’s scheduled contest between the two clubs, which will now begin at 7:30 p.m. The game will resume with 3:42 remaining in the second period with Adirondack leading, 2-1, and Springfield commencing a two-minute power play. Phantoms announce additional season in Glens Falls
Due to the delays in constructing the new Allentown, PA arena, the Phantoms were virtually homeless for the 2013-14 season. That changed today when the Phantoms and the city of Glens Falls made a joint announcement that they have come to an agreement for the Phantoms to play one more season at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Despite the fans being loyal to what ever team is playing in Glens Falls at the time, there was immediate concern that another season of Phantoms hockey would impede the search for another team.
