Matt Read gave the Flyers the decisive goal in the fifth round of a 5-4 shootout win over the Calgary Flames tonight at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Trailing 3-0 in the second period and 4-3 late in the third period, the Flyers came back twice and won their second shootout of the season for their second win of their current road trip. The Flyers won two of their three games this week, as the club is still trying to turn things around before the playoffs. Although they are 4-5-2 since the All-Star break, Philly won two of their last three games. This year was my first ever attending the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival. I’ve heard about the event plenty of times before but never found myself in a position to attend. This year my girlfriend decided to take her son to get a picture with Jaromir Jagr at the carnival as a Christmas present and brought me along for the ride.
