Despite a first period that showed some promise, the Flyers were unable to hold off the Anaheim Ducks and saw their first loss in three games. Matt Read and Vinny Lecavalier were responsible for the two Philadelphia goals, while Kyle Palmieri scored two and Andrew Cogliano also scored for Anaheim. The Flyers got off to a slow start in the first period, but once Read opened up the scoring at 3:40 in, the team was crackling with energy. Giroux Nets Winner In Overtime As Flyers Complete Huge Comeback

Trailing 3-0 midway through the second period, the Flyers stormed back to beat the Ducks 4-3 in overtime out in Anaheim tonight. Claude Giroux scored the game-winner and had an assist in the second period, while Jaromir Jagr had two goals and an assist in his return to the lineup after missing more than a week.
