The Future Flyers Weekly Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects. Forwards: Marcel Noebels finally broke out offensively , scoring four goals and assisting on two in three games with Portland. Nick Cousins added four more points (2g, 2a) to his totals last week which moved him up to 7th overall in the OHL scoring race. The Future Flyers Weekly Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects. Brendan Ranford moved up from 13th to 10th in WHL scoring after another strong weekly performance. Ranford tallied 8 points (3g, 5a) in 3 games which included two 3 point games. The Future Flyers Weekly Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects.   I haven’t updated for a while, so this report is going to cover the week of January 30 – February 5. Minor League Update: 1/23-1/29

With a trio of losses this week, the Adirondack Phantoms extended their losing streak to five games. Over their five-game losing streak, the Phantoms have been out scored 20-7, as the team has suffered two four-goal losses. The Phantoms hope the AHL’s All-Star break will end their misery as of late, as they have a three-game home stand over the next several days. For their third straight loss, the Phantoms dropped a 5-1 decision at the Verizon Wireless Arena to the Manchester Monarchs (Los Angeles Kings’ AHL affiliate) on Wednesday night. To finish off 2011, the Adirondack Phantoms closed out their rough December with a 2-1-0 week. The Phantoms may have needed a shootout and overtime to pull off both of their victories, but the pair of wins improved the club’s record to 5-6-1 for the final month in the calender year. As they play a pair of road games this week, the Phantoms look to extend their current two-game winning streak. The Adirondack Phantoms lost their first game of the week before winning last night to make their record 3-3-1 in the month of December. Since their four-game winning streak was snapped at the beginning of the month, the Phantoms two wins in their last six games have both been one-goal victories. With Christmas taking place next weekend, the Phantoms play today and Wednesday while not playing on Saturday for only the second time all season.
