To finish off 2011, the Adirondack Phantoms closed out their rough December with a 2-1-0 week. The Phantoms may have needed a shootout and overtime to pull off both of their victories, but the pair of wins improved the club’s record to 5-6-1 for the final month in the calender year. As they play a pair of road games this week, the Phantoms look to extend their current two-game winning streak. The Adirondack Phantoms may have lost two games this week, but the club managed to gain three points in the standings by taking part in three one-goal games. After having only one one-goal loss in a regulation or overtime result in their first 21 games this season, the Phantoms have suffered three one-goal losses in their last four games. Unfortunately for Adirondack, their next two games are with teams against which they have gone just 1-3-0. As part of a new weekly article, I’ll be taking a look at all the action that happened surronding the Flyers’ AHL affiliate (Adirondack Phantoms) and ECHL affiliate (Trenton Titans). The Phantoms went 2-2-0 in their games this week losing both their road tilts before coming home to win a pair. After losing on Sunday, the Phantoms had off from Monday to Wednesday before playing three consecutive nights on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Saturday.
