Kesler’s two goals help Canucks to road win, Flyers lose 3-2

The Philadelphia Flyers played with a lead for most of the game, but their inability to convert on chances hurt them once again, as the Vancouver Canucks grabbed a 3-2 win tonight at the Wells Fargo Center. Ryan Kesler had a pair of goals in the win including the game-winner, while Chris Higgins provided the second tally of the game for the visitors. Roberto Luongo had 20 saves in the road win. The end of their four-game road trip wasn’t pretty for the Flyers, as their only two points came in a shootout win against the Calgary Flames on Saturday night. With a pair of shutout losses, the Flyers have now been shut out five times this season. The Flyers hope two games against Eastern Conference teams below them in the standings will help them gain ground in a fight for home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
