It’s buyout day (and errybody celebratin’)

Today is the day that we bid farewell to two of the highest paid Flyers, Ilya Bryzgalov and Danny Briere, as the team will exercise their two compliance buyouts on them. Holmgren: Bryzgalov’s gone

Bad news travels quickly around these parts. Jumping the gun by roughly 36 hours, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren has decided to rid himself of the Cosmonaut once and for all: “I met with Ilya this morning and informed him that we are going to exercise a compliance buy out of his contract.
