Penn State falters versus Minnesota; Set to face the Spartans this weekend

If you’ve been reading my coverage of Penn State hockey all season long then you probably know I haven’t been that impressed with this team. Granted, it’s going to take a few year’s of recruiting classes to become a power in college hockey and nobody thought they would be successful right away. The one thing I kept wanting to see out of Gadowsky’s squad  was a full 60 minute effort night in and night out. Penn State gets back into the win column; Prepare for Sacred Heart Friday

The Penn State Nittany Lions snapped their four-game losing streak Friday with a 5-4 victory over the Robert Morris Colonials. This game is just what the doctored ordered for the Nittany Lions. It was not their best game of season by far, but any win is sufficient for Guy Gadowsky and his players. Penn State still took way too many penalties as they committed eight penalties for a total of 24 minutes.
