Minor League Update: 1/8-1/14

The Phantoms won both of their games this week and are inching their way to the top of the standings. The pair of victories marked the first time the Phantoms had won back-to-back games in regulation since their wins against the Syracuse Crunch (the Anaheim Ducks’ AHL affiliate) on November 30th and the Norfolk Admirals (the Tampa Bay Lightning AHL affiliate) on December 2nd. Adirondack looks to add on to their winning streak with a trio of divisional games this week. Friday the 13th is usually unlucky, but it proved fortuitous for the Phantoms as they beat the visiting Hamilton …

Minor League Update: 12/24-12/31

To finish off 2011, the Adirondack Phantoms closed out their rough December with a 2-1-0 week. The Phantoms may have needed a shootout and overtime to pull off both of their victories, but the pair of wins improved the club’s record to 5-6-1 for the final month in the calender year. As they play a pair of road games this week, the Phantoms look to extend their current two-game winning streak. The Phantoms extended their losing streak to three games with a 5-2 loss on Wednesday in Adirondack to the Binghamton Senators (the Ottawa Senators’ AHL affiliate). Rob Klinkhammer recorded a …

In their first game of the week, the Phantoms lost on the road 3-1 to the Binghamton Senators (the Ottawa Senators’ AHL affiliate). Rob Klinkhammer potted …

The Adirondack Phantoms may have lost two games this week, but the club managed to gain three points in the standings by taking part in three one-goal games. After having only one one-goal loss in a regulation or overtime result in their first 21 games this season, the Phantoms have suffered three one-goal losses in their last four games. Unfortunately for Adirondack, their next two games are with teams against which they have gone just 1-3-0. To start the previous week, the Phantoms lost 1-0 in overtime on the road against the Hamilton Bulldogs (the Montreal Canadiens’ affiliate) Tuesday night. Saving the first …

Minor League Update: 11/27-12/3

The Phantoms started off the week with a pair of wins before finishing with a one-goal loss. The loss was the Phantoms’ first loss since last Thursday and the game concluded violently. The Phantoms have one more road game before returning back to Adirondack for a pair of home games on Saturday and Sunday. After having three days off, the Phantoms grabbed a 4-3 win at home over the Syracuse Crunch (the Anaheim Ducks’ AHL affiliate) on Wednesday to extend their winning streak to three games. Scoring the game-winning goal with only 5:12 left in regulation, Jason Akeson had a two-point night …
