Frequent Flyer Miles: Jagr joins the Devils, Delmore retires and becomes assistant coach, Riopel to play in Denmark

It was a slow week in terms of the movement of former Philadelphia Flyers and Philly’s draft picks, as only three former players and two draft picks switched clubs. The most notable move was Jaromir Jagr joining the New Jersey Devils. Jagr was a member of the Flyers in 2011-2012, where he posted 53 points in 73 tilts and eight points in 11 contests during the 2012 postseason. He played with HC Kladno in the Czech’s Tipsport Extraliga during the lockout before playing for the Dallas Stars and Boston Bruins this past season. Jagr failed to score a goal in …

Schultz Scores Four, Titans Roll Over Royals

Stephen Schultz potted four power-play goals and Scott Wedgewood stopped everything he saw, as the Trenton Titans dominated the Reading Royals 6-0 last night at the Sun National Bank Center. Trenton Update: 1/4-1/10

The Trenton Titans’ two-game skid turned into a five-game losing streak this week, as the squad dropped all three games on their schedule with a record of 0-2-1. After they allowed one goal in their first two wins, the Phantoms allowed four goals last night, but were able to come up with a one-goal win against a team they have struggled against all year. Although the Phantoms only moved up to 11th place in the standings, they are now four points behind the Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks’ AHL affiliate) for eighth in the Eastern Conference. Jason Akeson’s 11th goal of the season was all Michael …

Minor League Update: 3/12-3/18

The Phantoms dropped all three of their games this week, as they currently sit three points out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. Although they sit 13th in the conference with 63 points, the Phantoms are still within striking distance of the Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks’ AHL affiliate), a team Adirondack lost to twice in the last seven days. The Phantoms’ first loss to the Crunch came on Wednesday in a 2-1 defeat at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Denis Hamel’s 19th goal of the season, which came on a 5-on-3 advantage due to an interference minor …
