The biggest news of the week, in terms of where former Philadelphia Flyers went, is Michael Leighton signing in the KHL. The former Flyer did not play a single game as a Columbus Blue Jacket in 2013, as he has joined Donbass Donetsk for the 2013-2014 campaign. Leighton didn’t play a single game for the Flyers in 2011-2012 and only appeared in one game during the 2013 shortened season. We are now at the point of the offseason where the biggest news related to former Philadelphia Flyers has reached Andreas Nodl signing in Switzerland and Ryan Potulny being released from a KHL squad. It was a slow week in terms of the movement of former Philadelphia Flyers and Philly’s draft picks, as only three former players and two draft picks switched clubs. The most notable move was Jaromir Jagr joining the New Jersey Devils.
