Flyers grab win at their second home, beat Pens 2-1 in Pittsburgh

The Philadelphia Flyers earned their third straight win tonight, as they earned a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at the CONSOL Energy Center. Brayden Schenn had both of the Orange and Black’s tallies this evening, while Ray Emery came through for Philly with a strong 30-save performance. Naturally, Sidney Crosby was the lone player to beat Emery, as it looks as though Philadelphia might be turning this season in a positive direction. Flyers hang on for 2-1 win over depleted Rangers

It may have not been pretty, but the Philadelphia Flyers did just enough to grab the home win by a score of 2-1 over the visiting injury-riddled New York Rangers. Matt Read and Braydon Coburn scored for the home squad, while Steve Mason denied 30 of New York’s 31 shots on net. For New York, Brad Richards was the benefactor of a fortunate bounce for the team’s lone goal, while Cam Talbot made 25 saves in NHL debut. The visitors were without Henrik Lundqvist (undisclosed), Ryan Callahan (thumb), Carl Hagelin (shoulder), and Rick Nash (head). The game-winning tally came early in …

Kesler’s two goals help Canucks to road win, Flyers lose 3-2

The Philadelphia Flyers played with a lead for most of the game, but their inability to convert on chances hurt them once again, as the Vancouver Canucks grabbed a 3-2 win tonight at the Wells Fargo Center. Ryan Kesler had a pair of goals in the win including the game-winner, while Chris Higgins provided the second tally of the game for the visitors. Roberto Luongo had 20 saves in the road win. Tye McGinn is making his case to stay on the Flyers’ roster, as he had both of the team’s tallies tonight in the loss. Steve Mason produced another …
