You might have called Ian Laperriere a warrior, or tough as nails during an 18-year NHL career which concluded three years ago in Philadelphia. After Sunday, add “iron man” to those honorifics. The 39-year-old Laperriere completed the Ironman Mont-Tremblant in his native Quebec, ranking 124th among his division, men aged 35-to-39. Former Flyers forward – and current Director of Player Development – Ian Laperrière is taking part in the IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant North American Championship in Quebec on August 18. He spoke with Flyers Faithful about the event, his training, this year’s Flyers development camp, and the team’s chances this coming season.
