The Flyers may have outshot the Tampa Bay Lightning 38-15 in tonight’s contest, but Dwayne Roloson stopped 35 to lead the Bolts to a 5-3 win over the Flyers. It didn’t help that Matt Carle flubbed a routine play behind the Flyers’ net to hand Tampa Bay the game-winning goal in the third period, as the Lightning beat Philly for a third time in the four-game series. A dominant win over the New York Islanders and a pair of comebacks helped the Flyers gain five crucial points in the standings this week, as Philly still has a slim chance to win the Eastern Conference. The Flyers dominated the Florida Panthers tonight at the Wells Fargo Center for a 5-0 win, which extend their winning streak to four games. Ilya Bryzgalov had another amazing performance, as he made 28 saves for his second shutout in a three-game span. Bryzgalov’s fourth shutout of the season came without the help of defensemen Kimmo Timonen, Andrej Meszaros, and Pavel Kubina. Bryzgalov earned the first star of the game and it was clearly deserved. For the first time in awhile, the Flyers put together a string of wins this week, as they won all three of their contests. Ilya Bryzgalov played a big part in the team’s success, as he won all three games with a save percentage of .948. Ilya Bryzgalov came up huge again for the Flyers, as he stopped 37 shots in the Flyers’ 3-2 win against the visiting Detroit Red Wings tonight. Matt Read gave the Flyers the decisive goal in the fifth round of a 5-4 shootout win over the Calgary Flames tonight at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
