IIHF World Championship Day 3 – Team Switzerland is on a roll, Read with a goal, Kovar heading to KHL

Day three of the IIHF World Championships: France-Austria 3-1 Team France started very well leading by two goals just five minutes into the first period. They added one more in the second period and Austria was only able to manage one goal. Belarus-Slovenia 4-3 Team Belarus won 4-3 after losing their first game to the Czech Republic. Alexei Ugarov scored the game-winning goal with four minutes remaining in the third period. Russia-Germany 4-1 Noebels – healthy scratch Bryzgalov – healthy scratch Team Russia beat Germany 4-1 winning their 12th straight (including the last World Championships). The Flyers Season In Review: The Good

The Flyers season is over. We fans went on a long ride through a short amount of time. 48 games in fewer than 100 days. Blood, sweat, tears, injuries and fatigue plagued this 2013 Flyers team from the start of the season. But, let’s not forget, the Flyers gave us plenty of memories from this year. A Rookie & A Vet Propel Flyers to 2-1 Win Over Islanders

On Tuesday night, Oliver Lauridsen’s first NHL goal came courtesy of a huge mistake made by Boston’s Zdeno Chara. This time, Lauridsen’s goal was all his own as he notched the game winner in a 2-1 victory over the New York Islanders. Ilya Bryzgalov got the win for the Flyers making 21 saves. Kevin Poulin took the loss for the Islanders making 28 saves of his own.
