  Philadelphia Flyers (14-15-3) @ Washington Capitals (17-12-3), 3:00pm, NHL-CA/CSN-Philly/CSN-DC After concluding their lengthy road trip with a 7-2 beating from the Chicago Blackhawks, the Philadelphia Flyers rebounded with a 2-1 decision over the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday at home. The Orange and Black seemed to have returned to their defensive play, as they only allowed one goal against in the win after allowing four goals against or more in the previous three contests. Then and Now: Arron Asham

Arron Asham has played for six NHL teams over his career and he may be with a seventh when the start of the 2013-2014 season starts. After being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1996 and playing for the squad until 2002, Asham joined the New York Islanders for four seasons. The enforcer then endured a season with the New Jersey Devils before he became a member of the Philadelphia Flyers in the summer of 2008. Asham had a 10-point campaign with the Devils in 2007-2008 and posted 84 PIMs before he had 20 points and 155 PIMs in 78 …

Flight Plan week of 01.16.2011

The Philadelphia Flyers did pretty decently on last week’s road trip going 2-1-0. Their loss to the Boston Bruins was a bit hard to swallow but the team were absolutely able to wipe it from their memories by the time they arrived in Atlanta to face the Atlanta Thrashers the next day and won by a decisive 5-2 score.  The Flyers have four games this week and have five games coming up in their next eight days.
