Flyers West Update: Journey to Cup Finals Is A Team Effort

The Los Angeles Kings have had a remarkable run so far in these playoffs. They’ve knocked off the top three seeded teams in the West and have earned a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals. They’ve won all eight games on the road during the playoffs, and went 12-2 overall. And they did it all as a team. The celebration after Mike Richards’ goal against the Montreal Canadiens in the 5th game of the 3rd round in 2010 will forever stick in our minds. It was a moment of awesome greatness. We see …

This week we look at Andrej Meszaros and his back, Claude Giroux and whether he misses playing with Mike Richards and Jeff Carter, Ilya Bryzgalov earning another NHL player of the week honor and more. Meszaros to have surgery, miss 6-8 weeks This could be a damaging blow to the Flyers defense, but with the additions of Kubina and Grossman and Brandon Manning’s solid play thus far, the Flyers should be able to live with Mez for a short while.
