Phantoms Fall in Overtime to Penguins

Alex Grant beat Brian Boucher from the slot in overtime to give the The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins the win over the Adirondack Phantoms Friday night at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Garrett Roe scored the first goal of the game in the second period and Shane Harper netted a goal to tie the game in the third for the Phantoms (28-34-3-3) with helpers from Jason Akeson, Eric Wellwood, Kyle Flanagan, and Jeff Dimmen. Scott Munroe was the silent hero on Sunday afternoon, as he stopped 42-of-43 shots while the rest of the Phantoms uncharacteristically came together as a team and took it to the Syracuse Crunch by a 6-1 score in front of 3,076 fans at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Shane Harper signed an entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers in March of 2010 after an impressive season with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League.
