After putting themselves in a very big hole, the Philadelphia Flyers ended this week with two emphatic wins to show that they could be a playoff team. It might be too little too late, but the Orange and Black will carry their two-game winning streak into their upcoming seven-day stretch. Philly started the week with a 3-1 loss at home to the Ottawa Senators. Colin Greening put home the decisive tally with 5:36 remaining, as Robin Lehner made 24 stops in the win. Steve Mason was outstanding stopping 38 of 40 shots as the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the New York Rangers 4-2 on Tuesday night. “Certainly he seems to be feeling comfortable here”, Coach Peter Laviolette said of his new goaltender. ”He’s in control of the net. He’s got a good glove. He seems to be seeing the puck really well. On April 1, 2013 the Flyers traded away Harry Zolnierczyk. The members of the Flyers have been trained to lose all identity so they could dissolve into one cohesive orange and black unit.
