Flyers dominated by the Devils in New Jersey

The Philadelphia Flyers were embarrassed at the Prudential Center tonight, as they lost to the New Jersey Devils 5-2. Adam Henrique had two goals in a three-point performance and Johan Hedberg earned the win for Jersey with 23 saves, as the Devils notched their first victory in regulation at home since the last time they faced the Flyers on February 15. Patrik Elias and Andrei Loktionov each had a goal and an assist in the win. Claude Giroux had the game-winning goal just 17 seconds into the second period and Kimmo Timonen had two helpers in the win, while Ilya Bryzgalov had 17 stops for the decision. It wasn’t the prettiest of victories, but the Flyers came out and provided enough of an effort to beat a team as desperate as them to earn points. Although it was their third game in …

Sigh, the Flyers. I could probably end this right here and have summed up the feelings of thousands of Flyers fans. There have been a few bright spots in this otherwise dim, dreary season for our Flyers. It’s hard to put your finger on just one thing that is wrong with this season, but to be honest there’s only a couple of things going right, so naturally they are easy to point out. I wanted to really see if we should have seen this coming, so I looked at the top 4 performing Flyers so far this season and compared …
