I do, of course. I mean, who doesn’t? Any dedicated fan is going to have input on how to improve his/her favorite team. It goes without saying, though, that any Armchair GM is merely expressing an opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. And what better way to end a long week than by doing just that? During the 2011-2012 campaign, the tandem of Harry Zolnierczyk and Erik Gustafsson saw their fair share of action with the Philadelphia Flyers. The pair, who are both in the top six for points with the Adirondack Phantoms this season, each played a game for the Orange and Black over the last several days, as the two participated in at least 30 contests last season. Second Period Hurts Flyers, Lose 5-2 in Toronto

The Philadelphia Flyers’ troubles away from the Wells Fargo Center continued tonight, as they were pummeled by the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 at the Air Canada Centre. Matt Frattin had a goal and an assist for the Maple Leafs, while Cody Franson and Nazem Kadri each had two assists in front of their home crowd. Colton Orr had the game-winning goal and James van Riemsdyk scored against his former team, as James Reimer earned the victory despite leaving the game early in the second period due to an injury. Flyers send Hurricanes home with another Saturday loss

Danny Briere scored his second goal of the season at 1:47 of overtime as the Philadelphia Flyers sent Carolina Hurricanes home with a loss for the second straight Saturday, winning 4-3. Briere took an outlet pass from Nicklas Grossmann along the boards, crossed up the defense, and sent a wrist shot, which deflected off the far post and then off the backside of ‘Canes goalie Cam Ward and over the goal line. The Philadelphia Flyers kicked off their first home stand with a bang, beating the Carolina Hurricanes by a score of 5-3. Despite a lackluster third period, the Flyers were able to hold on for their third win of the 2013 season as Danny Briere, Braydon Coburn, Kurtis Foster, and Mike Knuble all netted their first goals of the year. The first period of tonight’s game was sloppy, fast paced, and loaded with ups and downs. Here are some noteworthy items: The defensemen are playing terrible defensively but they are also jumping into the play, generating offense and scoring goals. Obviously, there needs to be more balance here but, if the defense can spark the forwards, less pressure will be put on the defense and it will all work out in the long run. Simmonds Hurt in Flyers’ Third Straight Loss

The Philadelphia Flyers dropped their third straight game on Friday night in Washington against the Capitals by the score of 3-2. Wojtek Wolski had the eventual game-winner for the Caps, while Nicklas Backstrom had a goal and an assist in the victory. Braden Holtby had 31 saves for Washington, as the only two Flyers to beat him on the night were Bruno Gervais and Brayden Schenn.
