The Future Flyers Weekly Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects. Forwards: In juniors, Brendan Ranford kicked off the week with a goal on Wednesday. He also scored a goal and assisted on another during Saturday’s game. Derek Mathers scored a goal in each game this weekend. Marcel Noebels also tallied a goal and an assist this week. Minor League Update: 11/20-11/26

As part of a new weekly article, I’ll be taking a look at all the action that happened surronding the Flyers’ AHL affiliate (Adirondack Phantoms) and ECHL affiliate (Trenton Titans). The Phantoms went 2-2-0  in their games this week losing both their road tilts before coming home to win a pair. After losing on Sunday, the Phantoms had off from Monday to Wednesday before playing three consecutive nights on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Saturday. Atlantic Watch: 11/16-11/22

Matt Read provided an excellent game-winning goal for the Flyers on Thursday, but that was the only good news Philly received all week as they are currently enduring a two-game losing streak with several key players missing the lineup in the process. Chris Pronger, Braydon Coburn, and Jaromir Jagr are important players on the Flyers’ roster. Jagr plays an important role in Philly’s most productive offensive trio, while the defense must rely on AHL call-ups when both Pronger and Coburn are absent from the lineup. The Future Flyers Weekly Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects playing in the various hockey leagues. Forwards: Nick Cousins remains the Flyers best scoring prospect in juniors. He collected his 26th-30th points with a goal and 3 assists over two games. Marcel Noebels and Brendan Ranford each picked up an assist this week. Jason Akeson led the Phantoms prospects in scoring with 4 goals and an assist in three games. He now sits at second in goals, assists, and points for the Phantoms. Mike Testwuide exploded with a 4 assist weekend after a slow start to the season. …

The Future Flyers Weekly Report follows the weekly progress of Flyers prospects playing in the various hockey leagues. Marcel Noebels and the Seattle Thunderbirds broke their losing streak  on Wednesday. Noebels recorded a goal and an assist in each of their two wins. He also picked up another assist on the week.
