In their three home games this week, the Flyers were able to clinch a playoff spot with a pair of wins over teams currently sitting outside the postseason scenario. Unfortunately, Ilya Bryzgalov suffered a chip fracture in his right foot. Leino Helps Philly Edge Out Win Against Nashville

Hosting the Nashville Predators for their only meeting this season, the Philadelphia Flyers were on the right side of an explosive third period as they won 3-2 tonight. The third period saw a total of three goals in over a span of ten minutes. Ville Leino had his first career two-goal game scoring both of Philadelphia’s third period tallies. Jeff Carter recorded a game-high three points with a goal and two assists while Claude Giroux had a pair of helpers as well.
