Darroll Powe endured four years at Princeton University, where he was an alternate captain in 2005-2006 and the team’s captain in 2006-2007, before he signed an AHL contract with the Philadelphia Phantoms in March of 2007. He had two goals and two assists in 11 contests with the Phantoms, as he also compiled 20 PIMs and a minus-3 rating in his first taste of professional hockey. After putting themselves in a very big hole, the Philadelphia Flyers ended this week with two emphatic wins to show that they could be a playoff team. It might be too little too late, but the Orange and Black will carry their two-game winning streak into their upcoming seven-day stretch. Philly started the week with a 3-1 loss at home to the Ottawa Senators. Colin Greening put home the decisive tally with 5:36 remaining, as Robin Lehner made 24 stops in the win. Atlantic Watch: 12/7-12/13

At this point in time, it looks like nothing can stop the Flyers. After winning their first two games in December last week, the Flyers went 4-0-0 this week winning a pair of games on the road and a pair of games at home. With their wins this week the Flyers are currently on a six-game winning streak, their first six-game winning streak since their undefeated run from October 26-November 6 early last season.
