Minor League Update: 3/19-3/25

In response to their three-game losing streak last week, the Adirondack Phantoms came out and won all three of their contests this week. After they allowed one goal in their first two wins, the Phantoms allowed four goals last night, but were able to come up with a one-goal win against a team they have struggled against all year. Although the Phantoms only moved up to 11th place in the standings, they are now four points behind the Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks’ AHL affiliate) for eighth in the Eastern Conference. Minor League Update: 12/18-12/24

The Phantoms continued to struggle in the month of December, losing both of their games this week to drop to 3-5-1 since the beginning of the month. With their first win being a 5-1 victory against the Norfolk Admirals (the Tampa Bay Lightning’s AHL affiliate) to conclude their four-game winning streak as they entered the month, the Phantoms’ last two victories have been one-goal victories. In the middle of a six-day break, the Phantoms look forward to three home games this week to bring in 2012. Minor League Update: 11/20-11/26

As part of a new weekly article, I’ll be taking a look at all the action that happened surronding the Flyers’ AHL affiliate (Adirondack Phantoms) and ECHL affiliate (Trenton Titans). The Phantoms went 2-2-0  in their games this week losing both their road tilts before coming home to win a pair. After losing on Sunday, the Phantoms had off from Monday to Wednesday before playing three consecutive nights on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Saturday.
