It might be too little too late, but the Orange and Black will carry their two-game winning streak into their upcoming seven-day stretch. Rick Nash had two goals, one of which was his 300th in the NHL, and an assist, while Derek Stepan had three assists to bolster a career-high four-point performance as the New York Rangers dumped the Philadelphia Flyers, 5-2, on Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center. A slow start and a series of failed special teams’ opportunities in the second period hurt the Philadelphia Flyers tonight in their 2-1 loss to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Ryan Callahan had the eventual game-winning goal, as Henrik Lundqvist had 26 stops in the Flyers’ first loss of the season to the Rangers.
