Although the Trenton Titans lost all three of their games this weekend to extend their losing streak to four, they managed to pick up a pair of points to gain a little ground in the standings. The Titans have only won one of their last seven contents, as their lone victory came in a high-scoring shootout. The Trenton Titans lost two of their three games this week, as their record dropped to 7-9-1 to put them two points ahead of both the Wheeling Nailers and Evansville IceMen, who are in last place in the Eastern Conference. The Titans played both squads below them in the Eastern Conference standings this week and went 1-1-0. Despite being ranked so low in the conference a pair of wins this week can help Trenton gain ground, as they play a team that is sixth in the standings, but only four points ahead of them. The Trenton Titans started the season strong, as they won their first four games and four of their first five. Unfortunately, they have lost their last three games and have dropped in the standings. In a home-and-home with the Reading Royals this week, the Washington Capitals’ affiliate, Trenton failed to gain a single point in the standings while being outscored 6-3. The first loss came on Friday night, when the Titans lost 4-2 at the Sun National Bank Center. The Adirondack Phantoms may have lost two games this week, but the club managed to gain three points in the standings by taking part in three one-goal games. After having only one one-goal loss in a regulation or overtime result in their first 21 games this season, the Phantoms have suffered three one-goal losses in their last four games. Unfortunately for Adirondack, their next two games are with teams against which they have gone just 1-3-0.
