Win streak ends in Winnipeg, Flyers lose 4-1 to Jets

The Philadelphia Flyers saw their four-game win streak snapped today in Winnipeg with a 4-1 loss to the Jets. Evander Kane and Bryan Little each had a goal and an assist, while Blake Wheeler registered two assists in a four-goal second period for the Jets. Ruslan Fedotenko was the lone Flyer to beat Ondrej Pavelec, as the goaltender made 30 saves for the win. Ilya Bryzgalov made 12 saves on 16 shots against before being pulled after the conclusion of the second period. Flyers Win First Shootout Of Season, Beat Panthers 3-2 in Florida

The Philadelphia Flyers finally proved they don’t need to practice the shootout, as they beat the Florida Panthers tonight 3-2 in a shootout in Sunrise. Claude Giroux, who saw his goal drought extended to 11 games, nonetheless came through with the decisive goal in the shootout, while Brayden Schenn and Jakub Voracek both scored in the first period for Philly.
