After a 40-point campaign with the Minnesota Wild in 2005-2006, Randy Robitaille joined the Philadelphia Flyers’ organization in the summer of 2006. The now 37-year-old forward played all of 28 games with the Orange and Black before being dealt to a divisional rival. In his 28 games with Philly, Robitaille totaled five goals and 12 helpers. His first goal with the Flyers came against Johan Hedberg in a 3-2 shootout win over the Atlanta Thrashers on October 26th, 2006. In his first few weeks as General Manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, Paul Holmgren made a handful of trades in an attempt to pull Philly out of last place in the NHL. With the Orange and Black in the midst of a seven-game losing streak to drop to a record of 8-21-4, Holmgren pulled the trigger on his fourth deal in office.
