The Bruins aren’t the Sabres and the Flyers learned that the hard way Saturday afternoon, dropping the opening game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals 7-3. Another lackadaisical and passionless effort from the Flyers resulted in another loss for Philly tonight as the Bruins edged out a 2-1 win. Brad Marchand’s power-play goal with three minutes and forty-three seconds left in regulation gave Boston their only lead of the night. The Philadelphia Flyers won all three of their games this past week, although two of them were against the New Jersey Devils and those four points were about as easy as they come for this team. The Flyers’ impressive win over the bruised and battered Detroit Red wings however, was a classic example of Peter Laviolette’s up-tempo left-wing lock system.
