Over their five-game losing streak, the Phantoms have been out scored 20-7, as the team has suffered two four-goal losses. The Adirondack Phantoms could only notch one win this week despite taking part in four contests, as they went 1-1-0 at home and 0-2-0 on the road. The one win and three losses this week moved the Phantoms to 4-5-0 for the month of January, while they are two points out of first place in the Northeast Division with a game in hand on the division leading Connecticut Whale (New York Rangers’ AHL affiliate). Hartnell Powers Flyers To 4-1 Win In New Jersey; Briere concussed

Scott Hartnell recorded a pair of power-play goals, and his second was the game-winning goal for Philly in their bittersweet 4-1 decision over the Devils in New Jersey on Saturday afternoon. Wayne Simmonds posted his first three-point game in the NHL and Claude Giroux had a pair of assists, while Ilya Bryzgalov came up with his second strong performance, stopping 30-of-31 shots. Tavares, Nabokov Help Islanders End Losing Streak To Philly

Josh Bailey registered his 100th NHL point and recorded his first game-winning goal since December of 2010 with his goal in the second period, as the Islanders beat the Flyers by a 4-1 count on Thursday night. John Tavares had two assists to extend his point streak, while Evgeni Nabokov stopped 40 saves for the win to snap the Islanders’ eight-game losing streak to the Flyers.
