Frequent Flyer Miles: Boucher cut, Prospal possibly going to Europe, AHL training camps

In what’s been the busiest week in terms of movement since the beginning of the Frequent Flyer Miles column, a laundry list of former Philadelphia Flyers and draft picks, Adirondack Phantoms, and Trenton Titans changed clubs, signed extensions, or were involved in rumors. A handful of former Flyers were involved in transactions, as Brian Boucher, Vinny Prospal, David Laliberte, and Nikolay Zherdev found themselves on the move. The Trenton Titans lost two of their three games this week, as their record dropped to 7-9-1 to put them two points ahead of both the Wheeling Nailers and Evansville IceMen, who are in last place in the Eastern Conference. The Titans played both squads below them in the Eastern Conference standings this week and went 1-1-0. Despite being ranked so low in the conference a pair of wins this week can help Trenton gain ground, as they play a team that is sixth in the standings, but only four points ahead of them. Minor League Update: 11/27-12/3

The Phantoms started off the week with a pair of wins before finishing with a one-goal loss. The loss was the Phantoms’ first loss since last Thursday and the game concluded violently. The Phantoms have one more road game before returning back to Adirondack for a pair of home games on Saturday and Sunday. After having three days off, the Phantoms grabbed a 4-3 win at home over the Syracuse Crunch (the Anaheim Ducks’ AHL affiliate) on Wednesday to extend their winning streak to three games.
