I’ve tried my hardest to not discuss the potential NHL lockout. Now that it looms, I’ll tell you why I refused to make any mention of the lockout in my articles. For one, I don’t fully understand what the owners and players are thinking. I do understand that it all come down to money. What I mean is, how could the NHL and NHLPA allow their situation to get like this? Did they not learn from the NBA’s lockout last year? At the moment, I’m making my way through The Good, the Bad & the Ugly Philadelphia Flyers: Heart-pounding, Jaw-dropping, and Gut-wrenching Moments from Philadelphia Flyers History by NHL.com correspondent and former Philly-area beat writer Adam Kimelman. Right now, it’s all good. Stanley Cups, Broad Street Bullies, the Spectrum. The book reads more like a story than others I’ve read which makes it (to me) easier to digest. Pretending as if nothing were to happen with the Collective Bargaining Agreement talks or placing faith that the start of the 2012-13 season will commence and complete in uninterrupted fashion, the National Hockey League issued its season television schedule for North America on Thursday. The Flyers as Assets: Part II

As we reach Part II of assigning value to the Flyers assets on the roster, things begin to get much more convoluted and less black and white. Last week I went into great detail breaking down the core pieces of the roster, but now it gets much more difficult.
