Another summer means another one of Ilya Bryzgalov’s goaltending camps in Ufa, and the quirky Flyers goaltender has taken time to speak to Sovetsky Sport’s Pavel Lysenkov. Flyers sign Weber to offer sheet

After weeks of speculation, the Flyers signed restricted free agent (RFA), defenseman Shea Weber to an offer sheet. General manager Paul Holmgren issued a statement on Thursday morning confirming the move: “The Philadelphia Flyers have signed restricted free agent (D) Shea Weber to an offer sheet. There will be no further comment at this time.” TSN’s Darren Dreger reported it is for 14 years in excess of $100 million. Then and Now: Mark Greig

Drafted in 1990 by the Hartford Whalers, Mark Greig played for 10 different teams in three different leagues over eight seasons before he found his way to the Philadelphia Flyers. Signed as a free agent in July of 1998, Greig took part in seven games for the Flyers during the 1998-1999 regular season and 67 games for the Philadelphia Phantoms.
