Don’t Panic: Pronger out with broken foot

It wouldn’t be the middle of the season without some disconcerting news in Flyerland… Defenseman Chris Pronger is expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks because of a broken foot. General manager Paul Holmgren said Pronger will undergo surgery to repair a broken first metatarsal in his right foot. The six-time All-Star was hurt late in the second period during Wednesday’s 5-3 victory in Montreal. Pronger leads all Philadelphia defensemen with four goals and has added 11 assists for 15 points in 31 games. He is also a plus-six for the NHL’s top team. The Flyers have a league-best 47 points …
