The Trenton Titans split their two games in Elmira against the Jackals last weekend to snap a long losing streak. The six-game losing streak that lasted three weeks, and saw five losses to the Reading Royals, has dropped the Titans to 12th in the Eastern Conference. Trenton looks to win three out of their last four with two home games this weekend against a pair of opponents who aren’t the Royals or Jackals. Trenton Update: 10/12-10/18

Last season, the Trenton Titans finished dead last out of the 20 teams in the ECHL with 21 wins and 52 points over 72 games. During their time at the bottom of the league last year, the squad only produced one winning streak that was three games or longer. Just three games into the 2012-13 season the Titans have already matched that total, as they sit atop the “E” with a record of 3-0-0. Six other teams in the league are undefeated, but none of those clubs have played three games yet. Head coach Vince Williams believes there are several …

Minor League Update: 3/26-4/1

With six games remaining in their schedule, the Phantoms did enough this week to stay within striking distance of the eigth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Four points behind the Manchester Monarchs (Los Angeles Kings’ AHL affiliate) with a game in hand, Adirondack has a chance to gain the final spot for the postseason, which will surely result in being swept by the Norfolk Admirals (Tampa Bay Lightning’s AHL affiliate). Since they play a total of three games this week against two teams currently out of the playoff scenario, the Phantoms can easily gain ground towards a …

Although the Phantoms only moved up to 11th place in the standings, they are now four points behind the Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks’ AHL affiliate) for eighth in the Eastern Conference. Minor League Update: 2/27-3/4

The Phantoms had another strong week, as they recorded a pair of wins to extend their winning streak to four games before they lost yesterday. Although the winning streak snapped, the Phantoms still have their winning streak on the road intact, a place they have struggled all season long. Adirondack will see if they can extend that winning streak to four games this week, as they hit the road after a pair of home contests. With the game tied at one in the third period Friday against the Providence Bruins (Boston Bruins’ AHL affiliate), Andrew Rowe gained the game-winner on a penalty …
