It was a night of accomplishments for the Flyers in a 3-2 win over the New York Islanders on Thursday night, none bigger than Ilya Bryzgalov setting a new franchise record for longest scoreless streak at 249:43. The Philadelphia Flyers had just two games this past week. The Flyers were shut out by the Boston Bruins, in the first meeting of both the season and since last year’s historic playoff series, and beat the New Jersey Devils by a score of 5-3.
