2014 Draft Eligibles: Kingston’s Sam Bennett is making his mark

Kootenay’s Sam Reinhart is not the only Sam to head the 2014 NHL Draft class. Kingston Frontenacs center Sam Bennett has played his way onto a top five shortlist for the June draft. The Holland Landing, Ontario native currently sits sixth in the OHL in scoring with 24 goals, 37 assists for 61 points in 38 games played. He’s only two points behind Oshawa’s Michael Dal Colle for most points for any ’14 draft eligible player in the OHL. With the 2013-14 OHL season slated to start tonight, I figured I would give my preliminary top 10 OHL prospects for the 2014 draft in Philadelphia.
