What cut? Schenn scores in overtime for Flyers’ 3-2 victory in New Jersey

Despite allowing a goal in the final minute of regulation, the Philadelphia Flyers managed to leave the Prudential Center with the win, as Brayden Schenn potted the game-winner in overtime for the 3-2 decision over the New Jersey Devils. The tally gave the younger Schenn, who suffered a noticeable cut from a skate in the mid section, a two-point affair, while both Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell scored for Philly in the win. Last week, the Philadelphia Flyers won three of their four games. Their wins came against the Vancouver Canucks via the shootout, the Calgary Flames, and the Phoenix Coyotes. The lone loss came against the Colorado Avalanche in a game where the puck just wouldn’t go for them and Semyon Varlamov was marvelous. No Raffl, No Read, No Problem – Flyers beat the Coyotes 5-3 in Phoenix

The Philadelphia Flyers overcame a pair of key injuries and completed a comeback in Phoenix to beat the Coyotes by the score of 5-3. Jakub Voracek had the game-winning goal with a little over eight minutes left in regulation and set up Wayne Simmonds for the game-tying goal, while Steve Mason stopped 26 of the Coyotes’ 29 shots on net. Mikkel Boedker had a goal and an assist for Phoenix and Connor Murphy had a pair of assists, as Mike Smith recorded the loss by allowing four goals on 27 shots against.
