The Philadelphia Flyers failed to hold on to a lead in the third period, as they fell to the Ottawa Senators in a shootout by the count of 5-4 tonight. Jason Spezza was the lone skater to convert in the shootout, while he and Bobby Ryan both had two-assist games in the win. Clarke MacArthur had a two-goal game for Ottawa, as Craig Anderson stopped 25 of 29 for the decision. The Philadelphia Flyers overcame a two-goal deficit and handing the Detroit Red Wings seven power-play opportunities, as the Orange and Black produced a memorable 6-3 win on the road tonight. Sean Couturier had a four-point game with two goals and two assists, while Scott Hartnell and Matt Read each had three-point games.
