Hockey Hilarity: That was Quick… And Easy

Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more! I think all of us can agree that Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings is a pretty good goaltender, maybe even one of the best ever when he’s on like he was in the 2011-2012 season where he won both the Conn Smythe award as the most valuable player to his team in the playoffs and a Stanley Cup. However, the guy is human. (really, I promise he is). …

Five Reasons I Love The Flyers: Hal Greenblatt

Flyers Faithful’s own Hal Greenblatt grew up just outside of Philadelphia in Ambler, PA. He attended Temple University and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. He received his Master’s degree from Villanova University in Human Services and Counseling. During junior year of high school through freshman year of college, he worked for the Philadelphia Eagles writing stories and creating content for PhiladelphiaEagles.com.  Hal grew up a Philadelphia sports fan and is a “4 for 4″ guy. At this time, does it seem like the Flyers have the pieces in place to have a successful season? Dave Isaac: I suppose that depends on the …

Friday funnies brought to you straight from hockey’s own players, media personnel, and broadcast botches. We’ll be mucking it up every week right here, examining puck ups, puns, tweets, and more! This week on Hockey Hilarity we’ll examine the National Hockey League free agent market! Well not really, since most of it’s dried up, but what we will do is empathize with the situation of a current 30-year-old out of work winger, who is 6’4″, 243 lbs, and has scored 20 or more goals in four over parts of nine seasons in the NHL. This is the plight of Dustin Penner. …

Hockey Hilarity: Taylor Hall Disagrees

This week’s hockey hilarity is about something that happened a little over a week ago. During the pre-game warm up for game three of the Stanley Cup Final, Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara fell and took out Milan Lucic. It was pretty dangerous and hilarious, but mostly for a different reason, here’s the video: Last year, Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall fell after stepping on a puck in warm ups: And well: People getting seriously injured is rarely, what I would call, funny, but in this case, Taylor Hall made it so by responding to a tweet sent out by …
