On Saturday, the Adirondack Phantoms announced that they had recalled goaltender Carsen Chubak from the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. This move appears to have been made due to the injury sustained by Phantoms goaltender Yann Danis in Friday night’s game against the Albany Devils. Danis was injured in a collision with several players about nine minutes into the first period, and Cal Heeter came in to replace him for the rest of the game. An incredibly strong game by the Adirondack Phantoms (1-3-0-2), unfortunately lead to a shootout loss to the undefeated Springfield Falcons (5-0-0-0). Nick Cousins scored his second goal in back-to-back games and Rob Bordson contributed a goal, but it was not enough.
