Although the Philadelphia Flyers lost two of their three games this week, the Orange and Black finished the week with a resounding 7-0 victory over a divisional opponent. Claude Giroux backed up his words after the loss on Saturday, as he led the Philadelphia Flyers to an emphatic 7-0 win against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum on Monday afternoon. The captain, who ripped his teammates for their effort in the wake of listless back-to-back road losses at New Jersey and Montreal, posted two goals and an assist, while he also set the tone early with hustle and physicality. In their four-game schedule this week, the Flyers posted a record of 2-1-1 and picked up what might be there most intense victory of the 2011-2012 regular season with their win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.
