The Philadelphia Flyers dropped their third straight game on Friday night in Washington against the Capitals by the score of 3-2. Wojtek Wolski had the eventual game-winner for the Caps, while Nicklas Backstrom had a goal and an assist in the victory. Braden Holtby had 31 saves for Washington, as the only two Flyers to beat him on the night were Bruno Gervais and Brayden Schenn. Ilya Bryzgalov had his strongest performance of the season tonight, as he stopped 34 saves to help the Flyers beat the Washington Capitals 1-0 at the Verizon Center. Eric Wellwood’s second goal of the season was all Bryzgalov needed for his third shutout of 2011-2012, as the Flyers won back-to-back games for the first time since the middle of January. The game-winning goal, which came at the 7:51 mark of the second period, was a redirection from Wellwood in the slot off of a pass from Pavel Kubina at the point.
