Who is the most improved Flyer so far?

Through the first tenth of the ’11 NHL season, we have seen some remarkable play from a handful of different Flyers. Danny Briere and Claude Giroux have led the offense but Ville Leino and Scott Hartnell are working very hard, even if they do not get on the score sheet as often. The morning after: Flyers @ Blue Jackets 10.25.10

“The morning after” is a review of the previous night’s Flyers’ game which, in theory, provides a more objective perspective on the game. The next part of this post is a metaphor for the effort that the Flyers showed last night:* They sucked. *Brian Boucher and Ville Leino aside. Some quick thoughts: What do Ville Leino, Blair Betts, and Scott Hartnell all have in common? They all have more goals than Mike Richards, Nikolay Zherdev, and James van Riemsdyk. Mike Richards notched his first …

Today’s question is: Of the Flyers that had a down season which, if any, will rebound? Sarah Baicker: My vote goes to Danny Briere, who as we all know, had a disappointing regular season …

The morning after: Flyers vs. Lightning 10.14.10

“The morning after” is a review of the previous night’s Flyers’ game which, in theory, provides a more objective perspective on the game. Hey, did you hear that Simon Gagne returned to Philadelphia last night? I bet you didn’t. It sort of flew by under the radar. Like every other diehard Flyers fan, you were probably too focused on the return of the legendary Randy Jones to notice. In case you did miss the game, here is the tribute to Gagne, which originally appeared on The 700 Level: Gagne deserved the standing ovation he received but he was a non-factor on …
