The Philadelphia Flyers fought hard this week to stay in the playoff hunt, but a laundry list of injuries is only going to make things more difficult for the Orange and Black to reach the postseason. With the start of the 2013 NHL season suddenly right around the corner, it is time to make some unfounded predictions that, in the long run, will either make us look like prescient geniuses or complete fools. The Flyers went 2-1-1 in a week that featured a lot of ups and downs for the guys in Orange and Black. The Philadelphia Flyers lost their only game of last week by a score of 2-1 in overtime against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Never mind that the bizarre tactics employed by Peter Laviolette’s team to try to break the Bolts out of their 1-3-1 neutral zone trap ended up making the game look like a Mexican standoff.
